The video, produced in partnership with the American Society of Retina Specialists and with support from sponsors Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Bayer HealthCare, provides an overview of this potentially blinding eye disease and its treatments, as well as critical tips for minimizing the risks of developing AMD.
The video features three patients talking about their experiences living with AMD and maintaining their eye health. In addition, actress and soap opera star Deidre Hall reveals her family history of AMD and discusses the importance of being vigilant about protecting your vision.
"I've been diligent about all areas of eye care," Hall says. "I wear glasses, I wear sunglasses. I wear protective lenses. I have my eyes checked every single year."
