Question:
Is it possible that if a 4-year-old wears glasses (2.5 in right and 1.5 in left eye) continuously, she may not need them when she grows up?
Answer:
A child who has been prescribed far-sighted glasses with different powers in each lens needs to wear them while young to avoid development of amblyopia (lazy eye). In many cases during middle school years and later it may be possible to remove the glasses.
