Question:
What is vertical diplopia an indicator of?
Answer:
Vertical diplopia is usually an indication that there is a misalignment between your two eyes. There are many different causes of vertical diplopia. Some are benign, but others can be serious and require urgent evaluation—especially if the onset is associated with a headache, a change in eyelid position, or asymmetry of the pupil. I would recommend evaluation by an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.
