Why is it that both eyes can't be treated at the same time when dealing with AMD?
Answer:
There is no consensus over whether you should or should not treat both eyes (presumably with injections) on the same visit. A large percentage of retina specialists will do so. However, the concern is with the extremely rare situation where the injected drug may be contaminated—then you could infect both eyes rather than just one.
