Can Eye Surgery Cause Dry Eye?
MAR 10, 2014
Question:
Can eye surgery cause dry eye and what is the outlook and time frame for curing dry eye?
Answer:
Dry eye occurs naturally and can also occur as a result of ocular inflammation, as can be caused by certain eye surgeries. Usually these cases of dry eye are easily treated with moisturizing or lubricating tear drops for a relatively short period of time until normal tear production returns. I suggest you discuss your case with your ophthalmologist.
