Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and Vision Symptoms
SEP 04, 2013
Question:
I have a nerve condition (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy / Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) and have been dealing with blurry vision, double vision, floaters and halos. Could this be something from the nerve condition or something else?
Answer:
The symptoms of RSD are variable. There are reports of dryness, trouble focusing, blurring and other eye symptoms in patients with RSD. I don’t think anyone has demonstrated a cause and effect relationship between RSD and any eye symptom. However, you should see an ophthalmologist for a full eye exam to be sure that you do not have a treatable intrinsic eye problem causing your symptoms.
