Question: I have a contact stuck in the very top of my eye for two days now. I cannot get it out . Is this dangerous? Answer: A contact lens trapped under the upper eyelid can create serious inflammation and possibly an infection in an eye. You should see your Eye M.D. promptly to have the lens removed. Your Eye M.D. may prescribe antibiotic and/or antiinflammatory medications after removing the lens. After any inflammation and infection have cleared, the fit of your contact lenses should be evaluated.
