Why is the Image Smaller in My Right Eye?
APR 04, 2012
Question:
Hi, I have got this strange problem; the picture I get into my right eye is approx. 30-50% smaller than the picture I get into my left eye. Both pictures are otherwise perfect. My brain have severe problems in processing this into one picture; especially in bright light. Neither my optician nor my eye doctor can find any specific fault. Do you have any idea what is causing this?
Answer:
Most likely, one eye is more farsighted than the other. If you are young, you may need a cycloplegic refraction (eyeglass lens determination performed after instilling anticholinergic eyedrops). You should visit your ophthalmologist to find out the best solution for you.
