One of my pupils dilates more than the other, what might be the problem?

Question:
One of my pupils dilates more than the other. This only occurs upon dilation. They are both equally reactive to light. It started this week. I am currently using the computer and studying most of the day. I do not have any visual deficits but my eyes do get tired from focusing all day. I also have a history of migraines. What might be the problem?
Answer:
Slight differences in pupillary size from one eye to the other can be normal. Some other conditions are not normal, but not specifically dangerous to your future eye health. There are a few conditions that affect pupil size that can be concerning. I suggest that you contact your ophthalmologist to make certain that your pupil responses are within the normal range.
