Question:
Is there any way to fix flap striae three years after LASIK? I have been to seven doctors and none want anything to do with me. I have a lot of glare in both daytime and nighttime, and also starbursting and hazy vision. I do get some shadowing off the TV too.
Answer:
First it would be important to determine if the striae are causing the problem or whether this can be improved with treatment for residual refractive correction. If the striae are the issue, the flap could possibly be lifted and sutured in place to help resolve the striae issue.
