Question:
Is Avastin a valid treatment for floaters in a 94-year-old male?
Answer:
It depends on the cause of floaters. If you are experiencing floaters due to bleeding from macular degeneration or retinal vascular occlusions, then Avastin may be a treatment for the underlying disease causing the floaters. If your floaters are just due to vitreous detachments (otherwise known as vitreous floaters) then Avastin is not used for this.
