Can I Have Cataract Surgery if I Have Had Retina Surgery?

Answer:
Yes—the cataract is in a different part of the eye and surgery can still be performed in the usual manner. Of course, any permanent vision impairment caused by the retinal detachment (when the light sensitive tissue peels off from the back of the eye) will still be present following cataract surgery.
