Question:
What is MEWDS? I understand it is from viral infection. I caught the flu and vision problems started. My retina specialist said it was viral infection to retina.

Answer:
MEWDS stands for Multiple Evanescent White Dot Syndrome and is thought o be a post-viral or viral-related illness that causes some retinal inflammatory changes, including punctuate whitish retinal lesions and a granular appearance in the macula. It typically resolves spontaneously within a few weeks. There is no proven treatment to speed resolution.
