Dr. Rona Silkiss is Chief of Oculofacial Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Silkiss received her medical degree with honors from the Feinstein School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago. She is board certified in both ophthalmology and pediatrics. She completed both her residency training in ophthalmology and fellowship training in oculofacial plastic surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. Dr. Silkiss is a  recipient of the CPMC Ophthalmology Resident teaching award as well as the AAO Distinguished Service Award, Achievement and Senior Achievement Award. She is a fellow of the American Ophthalmological Society. 

Dr Silkiss serves as the AAO Ask the Expert for Oculoplastics and is a member of the AAO EyeWiki Board. 

In addition Dr. Silkiss is in private practice with offices throughout the Bay Area.  She is an expert in the treatment of cosmetic and functional concerns related to the periocular region, including droopy eyelids, eyelid malposition, orbital tumors, thyroid eye disease and fractures. She is an expert in endoscopic lacrimal surgery.
