David K. Coats, MDDavid K. Coats, MD, is associate professor of Ophthalmology at the Baylor College of Medicine and a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Following undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Coats earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina, followed by fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology/adult strabismus at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.

Hello, my newborn (4 week old) girl has been diagnosed with Ptosis of her right eye. Her lid covers about 50% on her eye at the present time. (06/04/2010)
